House rules

1. We don’t go inside

Pickups stay outside the home. Items must be at the curb, in the driveway, or in an open garage — easy to reach from the truck. We don’t enter houses, basements, or crawlspaces, and we don’t do demolition.

Deliveries are one item, stopped at the front door or the spot you name (for example, in front of the garage door). We don’t carry items into the home, and we don’t move apartments.

2. Appliances need a second person

Drivers work alone and do not lift a fridge, freezer, washer, or dryer by themselves. You or someone on site must help load and unload. No help? We reschedule or cancel at no charge. We will not attempt it solo.

Sofas, dressers, and mattresses larger than a double need the same help.

3. Cancelling or rescheduling

Either party is able to cancel or reschedule anytime before payment, with no fee. Just text or call +1 587-208-4884, or email hello@1truck.ca.

Payment is due when we arrive, before loading. Once you’ve paid and we’ve started loading, the job is underway and can’t be refunded if you change your mind.

4. Owner’s risk

1TRUCK is not a licensed household mover, and drivers don’t carry cargo insurance. Items and property are handled at your own risk. Need coverage? We recommend hiring a licensed mover.

5. Other details

• Empty and defrost fridges/freezers, and empty dressers, before we arrive.
• Bagged garbage must be tied and easy to lift (about 20 kg / 44 lb max). Flatten cardboard. At the curb.
• The price covers one trip with whatever fits in the truck bed. No overhanging items are permitted.
• A full bed is household junk only. Under 250 kg is $200. 250 kg or more is $250. No shingles, drywall, dirt, concrete, or wet garbage.
• We only pick up and drop off in Airdrie, Calgary NE, and Calgary NW.
• Extra items cost extra.
• A return trip is a new booking. A second pickup on the way is one trip to the dump.
• Same-day is +$30–$40. Dump runs only on Saturday, and still before 5:00 p.m. Door drops on Saturday, or after 4:30 p.m. on other days.
• We will confirm your date and approximate pickup time within 24 hours of booking a run.
• Dump runs go to a City of Calgary landfill and must arrive before 5:00 p.m. Loads from Airdrie go to Spyhill.
• Payment is by cash, e-transfer, or debit/credit, on arrival and before loading.
